BRFC
Founded in 1993, Barnstonworth Rovers Football Club is an adult amateur competitive soccer
club based in Manhattan, New York. They are the only independent club to win a regular
season title in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League Division 1 (CSL D1) and reach the league
final. The club has also won two New York State Cups and two CSL League Cups, as well as
competing in the US Open Cup and National Amateur Cup. Their women’s team has also
reached three straight New York State Cup Finals.
The Cosmopolitan Soccer League was first formed in 1923 as the German American Soccer
League. In the 1920s, the league was one of the most popular sports in the United States,
second only to baseball. The league struggled through the Great Depression, and it became
perceived by most Americans as an “ethnic” sport. It was not until the late 1960s that the
Cosmopolitan Soccer League’s attendance increased.
The league has four divisions that are contested by semi-professional and amateur teams. The
league is based in New York City, and it has contributed a great deal to the history of soccer in
the nation. BRFC has four open divisions, as well as a reserve team. In order to play in the
Second Division, a club must field a reserve team or lose their promotion slot. There are also

BRFC has reached the CSL D1 Final
Barnstonworth Rovers Football Club is a competitive adult soccer club based in Manhattan,
New York. Founded in 1993, they are the only independent club to win the Cosmopolitan
Soccer League Division 1 regular season title and advance to the CSL D1 Final. They have
won two New York State Cups and one CSL League Cup, and have competed in the US Open
Cup and National Amateur Cup. The Barnstonworth Rovers Ladies have appeared in three
New York State Cup Finals.
BRFC has qualified for the CSL D1 Final for the second consecutive season. In addition to the
team from the lower division, the reserve team of the club from the EPSL has qualified for the
playoffs. In the quarterfinals, they defeated CD Iberia, which will face NYIFC in the final. The
reserve team has been named the Metro team after the former name of the CSL lower division.
The CSL D1 Championship is held every spring, and focuses on the top three teams in each
division. The first promotion spot is secured by Borgetto FC, who have won the divisional title.
FC Japan and FC Sandzak are competing for the second spot. FC Tekashi69 has also been a
part of Borgetto’s training sessions. The team is a member of the Eastern Premier Soccer
League, which is a joint venture of multiple state leagues.
The CSL is a competitive soccer league in China. Initially, twelve teams competed in the
competition, but this number has increased since its inception. The league now features 18
teams. The average player salary is $1,016,579, which is significantly higher than that of many
other leagues. For comparison, the CSL ranks sixth in the world in terms of salaries. A team’s
